No song, no dance, no fancy pic as this article is pure passion of a different sort: ClickTrackProfit tips and tricks.
My CTP Beginnings
I joined ClickTrackProfit.com on July 29, 2012. I saw a CTP badge from ListSurfing, a mailer and traffic exchange combo I joined earlier that same day. My sponsor was Irving Sears Jnr. On August 23, 2012 I got my first referral and I was on my merry way.
I still remember the feeling of that moment, of viewing the CTP dashboard for the first time. Wow, what have I committed myself into this time! Yep, she's a pretty daunting first look-see, and I suppose that scares a few people off.
Where to Start
So where to start? Well, on the right near the top is a menu heading Account. Hover over that heading and click Settings. That'll open up your personal details so check these and complete the missing bits.
There's a big red rectangle at bottom: do not never, ever click that one!
Go back to Account heading, hover and click on Social. Enter into the blank fields your username for each of the listed social media sites. Join ones that you are not a member of, as CTP is all about engagement, so the ones listed on site are critical for your online success. Make sure you add your own story in the About Me field; sell yourself!
The Training
Go to the training modules located under the Training header just below Dashboard at the top menu bar. I cannot emphasise enough to you just how important the training modules are. To use CTP effectively, go through the Lessons - the Welcome!, Tutorials, and Click! segments - quickly then you can pace yourself for the other training modules. Learn how to earn, really that is what CTP is all about.
Engagement
As already mentioned, engagement is the key. You need to build your personal brand and get known, so that people will like you and be confident in doing business with you.
Tips and Tricks
Here are some tips and tricks for building your personal brand on CTP:
Tip 1: how to find a person's name on CTP: go to Account, hover, open Profile, when fully opened change your username to the other person's one, hit fun button.
Tip 2: how to find username for another CTPer: that's why you follow people people!
Tip 3: if you follow often, go to your Profile page and hover over your followers or following and you get their username. If like me, and you have 600+, then you can only see a few. Refresh the webpage, and you'll get to see a few more. I used to keep a list but that was from 2015 earlier and only about 300 users. Nowadays, that sort of info is considered private so really should be kept only be the site owner/s.
Tip 4: go to Xtra's, hover, open Teams, click on a team name, when page opens hover over person's name to locate username.
Tip 5: if you want to get known on CTP, join a team!! The team I'm in is Indulge Yourself with the mercurial @russellstockley as our team leader. We're currently at #3, soon to be at #1 as @elianaicgomes has joined our team.
Just remember, you follow someone, their Profile page posts on CTP will also show up in your own Profile page feed; don't panic, this activity is just like Twitter. What that means is that you get a lot of info flowing through that you can like and bounce back ideas etc; just another awesome feature on CTP. So, if you have something juicy you want to share with your CTP followers, create a post in your own Profile page and launch that off to your CTP mates.
Confidence
Just don't be shy, get followers by the bucket load and get known. Take a few very deep breaths, and dive right in. I've been following people on various sites for years. Sure, I get the odd spammer like I did today on Twitter, yet they're no problem to me now as I'm 10+ years on social media. The sooner you dive in, the more rewarding your CTP will experience be.
Happy Hunting
Lastly, the next CTP badge hunt is upon us and all the 40 allocated badges have been sold. Get into this hunt, as you'll pick up a lot of badges and, more importantly, your XP will increase really fast allowing your CTP Rank to climb. The higher the Rank, the more likely CTPers will like you, take you seriously, and want to work with you.
Catch ya'll on the hunt!

Thanks Erik, you're awesome too mate! As for "using CTP the right way", well I'm not sure on that one!
CTP was constructed smart, in such a way that we can take out what we need and apply that info to our own online businesses. Really, there is no one right way; comes down to your own needs and requirements.
The basic premise of that site is simply this: build your own brand, build your own list, build your own business.
Thanks @ianballantine, and another great advice, keep up your awesome work.
Sorry to disappoint you Ian but your Team assessment is wrong what ever position you think you are on the ladder they are outdated figures like by 2 years. Don't be dragged into thinking there is a fight to get to the top at present if you believe that then you are no better than the teams below you who also think the battle is on and position counts.
The real team stats will shock some when a actual team competition starts and everyone is equal on ZERO.
Sorry but I am getting sick of the people who think what is showing on the Teams page is the state of play, it is not.
Hey Rob, thanks for the heads-up. I'm still accumulating team points and having fun. Besides, nothing like a bit of cross team rivalry to stimulate the passions, mate! I'm not disappointed, just frustrated that our team comp is still treading water; my legs hurt already!
You are in the best team @ianballantine! Don't listen to Rob... :)
Great post as usual and great advice as always.
