Walk Into a Cafe, Buy a Coffee and Donate to the Building of a School
Pete Winn and KarmaPay transforms the way we pay for our coffees, banana cake and other things...
Listen to this podcast and learn how to feel good about yourself, the world and that product you just bought, while spending money you would have whittled away anyway.
Let me explain…
You buy something at a participating cafe or bar or restaurant, wherever, and because you’ve registered for this particular free programme, a portion of the transaction fees that would normally be silently and stealthily forwarded to a bank as a thank you for being able to use this payment service (ie. the machine you just swiped/ tapped/ inserted your card on/into) goes to help fund a school in an underprivileged nation, for example.
Pretty darn groovy, don’t you think?
KarmaPay is morphing the way we help others, enabling us to contribute for example, to the education of kids in developing countries.
There’s tamper-proof, transparent Blockchain technology underpinning this system, which means that we get to see where every last cent of ours is being spent.
Full transparency, full disclosure. We like it…
To start with, Pete and colleagues are working together with a local charity: Classroom of Hope, funding the establishment of schools in Rwanda. As KarmaPay expands, so does its reach to other charities in alignment with its message.
