New US Law Could Force Travelers to Declare Bitcoin, Digital Assets
Just received this notification on my phone from www.cryptocurrencynews.com:
Anybody see some issues with this?? I haven't read the article but this seems like either big or really stupid news.
A small couple-line text conversation with a friend brought up some questions, first and foremost how the hell would they know unless I intentionally declare my bitcoin/digital assets?
Wasn't the idea decentralization? This seems like their way of attempting to regulate and control the decentralization of cryptos, but I don't think they will be able to. The people want something for a reason, hence the high demand! They are just mad that people are starting to catch on. I doubt the community behind cryptos, and the money, is gonna just sit back and let this happen.
Anybody else have any ideas about this law? Again, I didn't fully read the article, these were just some first thoughts on it.
