If you still didn't at least try CryptoKitties I feel that you have the best opportunity right now. As the popularity of the game is going down, the ethereum fees are also going down and now you pay less than 6-7 GWEI ($0.059) on fees to actually buy/sell/breed your cats.
That is actually amazing to see as most people were paying more than 40 GWEI in fees for just one transaction! It is finally possible to enjoy the game and buy all the cats you always wanted for almost nothing. Maybe they will have some value later, you never know! :)

This is my GEN:3 Swift cat for almost nothing and it's seriously my favorite one. So cute!
It looks like the developers need to do something with this game so it can be popular again. They are selling GEN:0 kitties every 15 minutes so the market is saturated with everything and people are selling really low to actually sell some cats. This saturation made almost every cat that is not GEN:0 or GEN:1 worthless and it doesn't matter which good traits it has.
I will probably do some giveaway later for people that just don't want to buy them by themselves.

Don't buy them! You'll crash the Ethereum network. It's our precious World's Supercomputer, imagine some virtual kittens bringing it down for good. Cryptokitties must go.
One day, when blockchain historians look back on this event, they are going to wonder what the hell we were thinking.

Right now mostly collecting, but the devs can add pretty much anything to the game. :)
Well that was fast. That was why I didn't buy into the hype. There was no way those crazy prices were sustainable.
