I think, therefore I am is the sum total of reality. We can base our reality on our ability to use our senses. This is why faith is a difficult thing to accept.

We can never know if we are in a matrix, or if our reality is a made-up thing. I feel, though that there's more to man than anything under the influence of a control unit is. The fact that we have the ability to choose to act or not on our thoughts separates us from artificial intelligence.

It is one thing to think up stuff, it is another to choose not to act upon thought. So even spontaneous decisions can be ignored. If the mind cannot control our actions then it means we have a certain level of autonomy.

In the same vein, conditioning create habits that determine the choice we make everyday. So can there be a system of control outside us, through which we are made to make choices that in the end suit the plans of our makers?

There are so many questions that spiral about the reality of existence and even death gives no answer.
