Etheremon Updates Week 15 October
Time to get you up to speed on everything about Etheremon. Adventure Mode Updates, new Kyberra Mon, the on-going Halloween event and upcoming features, all can be found in this blog post!
“Just start off, and then Adventure will carry you away”
Adventure Mode —Just over a month after release, there have been 13,200 Adventure games played so far. As you all know, in this mode, players can send their Mons on adventures to collect rewards. Adventure Mons are already the biggest reward in game yet, which was demonstated in Zedakazm #1 being sold for a record-breaking 13 ETH in Etheremon’s market. Zedakazm is a Legendary Mon found in Adventure and is now the 2nd rarest Mon in game. Also, site hosts have already collected a bonus worth 30% of original Adventure site purchases from our estimation.
We gave you more ownership over Adventure mode. Now, site hosts can determine Adventure exploration fees. The more privileges the owners have, the more the increase of the Adventure sites’ values. But It is thus natural to begin by asking the question: What determines value of Adventure map? The simple answer that higher demand leads to a higher equilibrium price. Since now, Parthenon is the most expensive adventure map was sold at 10ETH, second place is Kremlin at 9.45E. Adventure sites and items trading has been very lively on OpenSea marketplace this week. Total trading value are growing fast similar with 59.6% (52.17 ETH) total value from the begin (85.99 ETH in total)
We have finished collecting site hosts’ submissions yesterday and consolidated here. Out of 540 site ownerships, 211 submissions were made. As majority of site hosts agreed to keep the current fee (which is assumed as no submissions were made), taking median resulted in Adventure fee being kept the same as of now (0.1 ETH/15 EMONT). The next fee revision will take place on 1st November, and if you want to change it, please submit your votes before 31st October, UTC+0.
Kyberra - Kyber Mascot: To commemorate Etheremon integration with Kyber to make payment much more seamless, Kyberra, Kyber mascot, was catchable in Adventure Mode and then sold in shop for a week. 133 Kyberras were caught and 9 were evolved into Kyberram. Players can only get one in market as no more will be supplied in store.
THE RISE OF COMMUNITIES
According to the Newzoo’s report, there are 2.2 billion active gamers in the world. To reach all the current gamers is a long stretch ahead of us but we believe in this road we are delivering values to our players. As well as understand current state of blockchain game, 8,000 players is a fairly modest figure, but an increase of 20% since our Adventure release must be a good sign for both us and the blockchain game community.
Also, Mon trading market has been very active recently. Average number of Mon trading transactions per month are nearly 400 and there are 239 transactions were taken within the just the first 2 weeks of October. This is only our internal market without counting the Adventure sites and items trading on OpenSea.
TO WHAT’S COMING NEXT
Halloween — Adventure: Halloween is always a special occasion. What would you do if you have chance to save cute Etheremon Monsters from hell? Before the hell gate is closed, you can find a Wisp in the adventure mode to revive some of the most valuable “Dead” monsters, the first 3 catches of some species. The first wisp was captured only 54 minutes after the event started. What an amazing luck the hunter got! But don’t be sad as there are still more Wisps out there. Mons’ moves — We will be adding moves for your Mons to make battle a lot more fun. Having moves will definitely give some advantages to your Mons in combat. You will be able to unlock moves in Challenge Mode, the upcoming sub game mode in the Adventure Mode. Each Mon type will have a separate set of moves, for example Leaf Type can learn to drain health and Toxin type can poison its opponent.
