SECURE YOUR CRYPTOCURRENCY

Let's share these little tips with the members of this wonderful group on how to enhance your security level on different online accounts.

Just Follow these 6 steps and you would be safe when surfing or at least not exposed.

Please be careful when surfing on these website, make sure these requirements are met for your own safety.

1- If you using a single email for both your wallet and cloud storage like Dropbox, Google Drive, one drive or whatever, do not store your credentials into your cloud storage it's definitely not safe. you can just use separate emails for your wallet and the cloud because if they all linked to the same email and one of them is compromised then all your accounts will be hacked.

2- If you using chrome browser, Firefox or I. Explorer then update your browser to the latest version for security. Enable as much extension in your can in your browser to block ads, tracking site and key logger.

3- do not enter your credentials while connected to a public Wi-Fi like Starbucks, McDonalds, MTA wireless or any kind of free Wi-Fi unless you are a security expert or have some background in surfing anonymously because the public open access point are the most vulnerable to hacker since it's not secure.

4- Always check your browser link field before entering your password, private keys, passphrase or whatever credential. make sure you using the Https: with SSL certificate to avoid been victim of either dns hijack, dhcp spoofing, ddos attack, sniffer attack, main-in-the-middle attack, or even key logger.

5- finally enable G2FA on all your relevant accounts and keep the authenticator software offline if possible because they can also work offline.I personally use Google authenticator and Authy.
Enhance security level on all your cryptocurrency holding wallets.

6- Do not keep your coins/tokens on exchanges. They are the most exposed to the hackers. from 2009 to March 2015, 33% of all bitcoin exchanges operational during that period were hacked (Google infos).
Exchanges are just for trading purpose, not to keep your funds for holding purpose. You should transfer all of you coins/tokens to your wallet as soon you done trading. You can use mobile wallet, online wallet, desktop wallet, paper wallet or the best one and the most secure Hardware wallet.

Thanks to everyone and I hope this little info was helpful, be safe out there.
