Crypto CoinMarketCap Site Releases Its First iOS Mobile App

Site CoinMarketCap, one of the most popular cryptocurrency market data sites for now, has now released its first mobile app.
The release was on Tuesday, which is currently only available for iOS users and will appear as the site marks its fifth anniversary since it was launched in 2013. According to a news posted by the company published in conjunction with the release of the application, CoinmarketCap has received 60 million visits in 2018.

"CoinMarketCap has really evolved in the past five years and so have we," CEO Brandon Chez said in a statement. "So we think for this anniversary event, it will do something fun for something great for our users." </ I>

The CoinMarketCap app is also available on the iTunes Store and can be downloaded for free and includes ads, and has earned 12 ratings at time of writing, all five stars. The company also launched a new logo on Tuesday.
In the midst of growing interest in digital assets, CoinMarketCap is facing increasingly fierce competition. Thomson Reuters, as an established data provider, has added bitcoin, ether, litecoin, bitcoin cash and Ripple's XRP to its data offerings. The company also offers an index based on data from CryptoCompare, a less traded CoinMarketCap rival.
