Would cryptocurrency bring economic collapse?

Here is one interesting article:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-07-07/china-central-bank-advisor-bitcoin-currency-could-collapse-entire-economies

I would like to know your opinion in comments.
What do you think about cryptocurrency, if it replace the paper money?
1/3 of Europeans ( based on poll) dont want to use physical money and want to use electronic transactions.
China is starting to create they own crypto currency, the one they will be able to control.
Russia just passed the law to increase cyber space defense against hackers and probably will implement ETH into economy.
Everything is moving towards CC ( cryptocurrency).
Of course, it is taking a lot of attention in media, but my question is: what if , just imagine, what if the Nature creates global EMT and all electronics will stop working? I know, it sounds sci-fi , but we dont know for sure that it is impossible.
What you think, in this case would copper/silver/gold cost?
At the same time, China and Russia are not only making big progress towards implementing the CC into economy, but also they are top buyers of gold in last years, plus Russia is producing its own gold.
Looks, like my small topic grows into something more complex, that just conversation about Bitcoin.
Im just curious, how many people would join conversation here.gold-bitcoin-image.jpg

Would Crypto bring economic collapse?
Nope.
Possibly the exact opposite...It might cushion the fall and turn a collapse into a soft landing.

Possible. I wonder about the scenario for the US debt...
