Perspective.
There's currently maybe 1.5% of the planet involved with crypto. If you have a Steemit account, that includes you. Point being - 2018 is poised with a wave of early adopters. The innovators are mostly all already here - like busy bee's - working, learning, and playing.
It's a diverse group in the first wave making up about 2.5%
Look around on steemit for added perspective. The first 2.5% is composed of people from many different walks of life. A grateful bunch indeed.
Let "Authenticity" be the key word.
So again, if you're reading this and it's 2018, You're an Innovator and or a very early adopter.

Higher motives such as belongingness & esteem needs ties into our early adopters. These folks have basic motives covered & higher motives are present in their lives. People who may need to spend their cryptocurrency almost immediately to cover basic needs, benefit from the higher up needs of early adopters being met. When early adopters brag about their massive gains, there is someone benefiting from tiny gains.
Wow I thought it was even less than 1.5%. I think eventually crypto will be fully legalized or at least a lot more legalized in places like the USA.

we are lucky to be into crypto at this stage. I do believe that at 2020 blockchain and Crypto will be used by a lot of people. only time will tell

I have same idea with you. We hope like that.
very precisely what you write friends, lots of users steemit. but unfortunately many of them are oriented only after earnings. not trying to make a quality post. I am afraid, long time steemit not so great media again. hopefully there is a system that regulates the use and benefits of steemit.
I think the important thing about steemit is that people are using it.
It's an experiment....where content creations are the speculative markets.
Like with all new markets - there's generally participants who will push the point of what is good and what is not good. This should be obvious....but often times people want to push it to see how far the thing can be pushed.
The most important thing is that people are using the network.
I suppose the network would only really be compromised if there was nothing being shared that is worthwhile. The irony is - we make ourselves relevant or irrelevant.
A bit of the catch 22 is the judgement and comparison - which in my opinion is a bit of a mind fog....as each one is an individual and it's not about playing copy cat...it's about sharing "you"...what you got.
I think the best of the best here - appreciate both the earnings and the sharing of content. The other end of the spectrum would be just chasing after rewards with no regard for the content sharing.
It's a process of refinement - self-correction in terms of being authentic.
