Communication, Incentive and Application - The Layers

Everything is layered. In going into the depths of the internet, blockchain and cryptocurrency - I've come to recognize basic framework as follows:

1. Communication

2. Incentive

3. Application

Each is it's own layer.

1. Communication - this is the base layer and can be considered the "most complicated" as the language/communication/code can be quite technical at times in defining the specifics of terms.

Looking at "communication" in a more general sense...a kind of introspective way - It's like an example is this:

On an individual level - the process for every human is the same. We live in a world of information....even our dna is information. So on a very basic level - how we function as humans is all about "communication". Why anyone becomes a specialist in any field is a result of their individually developed "vocabulary"....you're not a lawyer without speaking fluent lawyer. Same example applies for computer programmers and yoga instructors.

1. Communication.
2. Incentive - Encouraging particular behaviors. This is like a process of streamlining automation in forming habit making behavior. win/win is how I think of incentive type models of operation. An exchange that is a good deal for both parties is something that can be rinsed and repeated over and over again. The potential is seemingly exponential.

I like to play around with looking at big solutions in the world.

Really honing in on the possibilities with supportive incentives for the world at large is a bit of a paradigm shift in thinking - the possibilities are seemingly infinite. There is indeed, many possibilities.

Incentivizing good behavior is a way to encourage a change in a positive way. There's some criticism here on a psychological level - that being; "people shouldn't be incentivized for good behavior."

With the above consideration in mind - I think of the situation and issue a bit more deeply.

The reality is - education is a huge disparity in the world. The quality of education varies quite a lot. It's questionable at best:

"what does the human really know about anything.....I mean the planet is in seriously dire straits as a result of the way we've functioned in regards to money. It can't continue.

My thinking here - is that change is a process of education. I like the "Incentive" to teaching an old dog new tricks. The incentive stimulates the new movements, patterns and behaviours that would otherwise be more difficult.

So - In general,

Incentives are quite a cool thing from my perspective. Lets make things as easy as possible for people. Enough difficult challenges will still exist.

3. Application

A fun example and expression that comes to mind:

Knowledge without direct application is useless.

I think of applications as like the specifics of instructions. It's the "utility".

An interesting point of regard here:

The internet is currently broken. it is broken because the base layers of 1. Communication and 2. Incentive are compromised. The internet as it currently exists is mostly siloed in the 3. Application layer. The application layer is a thin layer that isn't where the core of the value originates from. The application is the end product the end result....but it is the technology behind it which is the real "power generator".

The internet is quietly being fixed, changed and rebuilt. This story won't likely be on the 6 o'clock news until after the process is completed and the average joe has missed out on the opportunities of the investor betting on innovative solutions.
