I recently participated in the ICO of Wagerr. It is potentially a game changer in the betting industry. If everything goes as planned they will actually disrupt the betting industry. Let's hope they'll get somewhere.

Today Wagerr tweeted the following:

The link they're referring to is this: https://news.wagerr.com/wavesguide/amp/

They're making it possible for everyone with Wagerr tokens to withdraw them. It's not mandatory now, but if you want to trade with them you can do so via Waves. Later this year in Q4 they'll release their main net, withdrawing tokens will be mandatory then.

But here's what's interests me the most. In their own post they stated the following:

The team chose Waves for initial distribution of the Wagerr tokens primarily because it is easy for newcomers in cryptocurrency to understand and use. While we considered using Ethereum (ETH), we rejected that choice because ETH cannot reliably handle the network traffic, as evidenced by the recent network congestion.

They're of course referring to that single DAPP that brought the whole platform to it's knees. I've stated in a few posts and comments of my own that it became clear that Ethereum has technical but more importantly architectural issues to overcome. We can raise the question if they'll even be able to overcome them...

Wagerr did not choose Ethereum. Wager chose Waves. This is a very important statement. I'm sure they'll not be the only ones to pass on Ethereum.

Ethereum itself and also Ether holders should take notice. This will have impact.

Its time for waves and stratis. I myself may invest a bit into antshares. I loot at antshares as the Alibaba to Ethereums Amazon. Huge potential there.

Stratis most definitely. Antshares/NEO has huge potential, starting in China. Indeed, what if Mr. Jack Ma decides to implement NEO on his platforms....

good article, i participated in the Wagerr Ico and was also surprised that they didn't chose ethereum. I wonder if this is because of scaling issues.

Most definitely. Wagerr doesn't want bad press because of Ethereum becoming crippled.
