We could go on for hours about how innovative TV-TWO is… but how does it actually work? We thought we’d give you something more tangible to work with, so we’ve put together this little tale to give it some broader context.

  • Meet Dave A — The Advertiser: an Amsterdam-based brand manager looking to promote his company’s new range of ski apparel ahead of the winter season.

  • Meet Dave B — The Buyer: a 26 year old investment banker and extreme sports enthusiast, originally from Ireland, but now living in Switzerland where the winter snow’s as fresh as it gets.

  • Meet Dave C — The Creator: an up and coming Canadian TV producer looking to raise money to bankroll his new show idea — a reality TV roadtrip where pro-wrestlers search for new talent in obscure corners of the world.

In the world of the 3 Daves, TV-TWO is already up and running, and it’s working well: 4 million users and counting; with over half in Western Europe alone. But where do each of them fit into the wider ecosystem?

  • Dave A invested in TV-TWO during the ICO, and now has a significant sum of TTV coins to use (he knew they’d come in handy). Now his company’s ad campaign is in the bag, he’s ready to launch it… but he wants to see just how good TV-TWO’s targeting is before blasting it out everywhere.

  • Dave B uses the app daily. It’s got his viewing habits down to a T: football, hockey, action movies, and, er, reality shows (his guilty pleasure…). He’s amassed a fair amount of crypto from watching his personal video stream. He doesn’t mind the ads at all; particularly as he gets paid to watch them!

  • Dave C has worked on a couple of hit shows in North America, but now he wants to do things his way. He’s pitched his pro-wrestling idea to a few networks, but they’re just not biting. So he figured he’d try and crowdsource some funds. He’s set up pages on Indiegogo and Patreon, with some success. And then he heard about this TV-TWO thing: in which content creators can earn cryptocurrency from viewers…

All 3 Daves have figured out that they need some TV-TWO in their lives. But how does this break down? What do they actually want?

  • Dave A wants to target the most sports-engaged, 18–30 year old male TV-TWO viewers with his ad (and buy his products).
  • Dave B wants to keep watching great TV, help cool new shows get made, and buy a new ski jacket.
  • Dave C wants to raise new sources of income so he can make his show idea a reality.

So what happens next? How does TV-TWO make all of our Daves happy?

  • Dave A taps into TV-TWO’s anonymised data to precision target the viewers (like Dave B) most likely to be interested in his new product line. And he can use TTV to reward them for their attention.

  • Dave B uses the app to watch all of his favourite shows. When he sees the new ski apparel ad, he decides to find out more about the new range by navigating to brand’s website. He even gets a discount from the TV ad. And receives TTV for watching it.

  • Dave C can earn TTV tokens from app users like Dave B who watch his existing TV shows on their personal video streams, like what they see, and decide to donate the TTV they receive from advertisers (like Dave A) to him; which he can use to bankroll his new production.

See? It’s Win-Win-Win for all concerned! Want to find out more? Take a look at our whitepaper. Find out how TV-TWO could work for you.
