Bitcoin down! The world is going to end! How established media outlets apply scare tactics.

This gets me SO worked up!

And not because of the fact that I am invested in the cryptos but simply because of how the established news outlets report on the crypto currencies. Why can’t you just bring the news factual, as it is?

Check this out: http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/25/bitcoin-slammed-by-more-than-10-percent-to-below-2500-ethereum-down-big.html

So if you actually read the article it basically says: crypto prices went up because we avoided hard fork, now there’s a possibility there will be  a split again and the market corrects. Analysts say we’re still trading in a range. Fair enough - this is valid information and people can make their investment decisions based on this.

But WHY would you put out an article with BITCOIN SLAMMED to follow by ETHEREUM DOWN BIG in its title? The body of the article itself is decent but then the kicker includes the recent Ethereum hacks to drive home the point made in the tile.

What gets me is:

  1. This is reasoned from a well established equity and forex market perspective. Yes, 10% in that market is huge. In Crypto land, not so much. But it suddenly is if you report it that way.
  2. In the society we live in where people don’t actually read the article and just skim headlines, what you’re trying to achieve is to draw people in to your site as ‘clickbait’. You’re just fuelling the crypto stigma that is already there, in turn creating even more angst to drive the prices down even further. It’s a circle.

All I’m saying is that you could question the motives behind this. This sensationalism to discourage investors to step in just to defend the status quo infuriates me. Let people make up their own mind based on the facts. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying everyone should be getting involved in this market - especially when you don’t have a good understanding of what it is and how it works. I’m simply saying, bring news based on the facts and have people decide for themselves.

Rant over. Anyone agree?

This was so surprising to me but at the same time it wasn't lol. Keep it up love the content!

I think , its only a tactics of big time traders, the are trying to push it down so that the can buy more bitcoin in a very low price and pump it so that the can sell it to a big profit.

The worst part of this is that people don t read all never and believe in what media say.
