UnbankedX: Bot-Based Cryptofinance — Winner of 2017 HumanIQ Global Challenge
In late October of 2017, the Winners of the 2017 HumanIQ Global Challenge were announced. The Top-3 blockchain-based projects whose mission was specifically to “bank the unbanked” were to be awarded with a trip to Kenya to “meet with local unbanked populations to learn about their lives and financial habits”. Starting with over 450 validated submissions, the Humaniq jury board was tasked with selecting the 3 best-performing projects.
And the winners are...
UnbankedX, who’s mission is to be the “World’s First fully-automated financing platform integrating web and mobile apps with chat bots, voice bots, and text bots” clinched one of the Top-3 positions and was to travel to Kenya later that year along with the other 2 winners: Signstampo & Microaid. UnbankedX’s Founder, Grace Wong, was off to “meet with representatives from various different communities, conduct interviews…and develop an understanding of local culture and customs.”
