Usually i stay away from token. They bring good returns but they are not for long term holders. Most fade away in just 6 months. Most are ICO's. This usually means that 80% of these are scams.
Yes, ICO is very risky. To make any kind of investment, you have to consider the risk and the expected return of the investment. People are usually risk averse. Try to minimize the risk and maximize the return.
