Basically cryptocurrencies are virtual currencies, which are extracted according to a mathematical argorism, each currency has its difficulty, according to this difficulty is the time required for extraction, prices vary according to supply and demand, there lies the differences in quotes of the different cryptocurrencies and the factors by which they change the quotes are very varied, any negative or positive news around the cryptocurrency can affect its value.
