TECHBLOGGER REPORT - OMISEGO OMG THE FUTURE OF MONEY
There are only so many amazing opportunities in the emerging cryptocurrency market and based on extensive research I've come to the conclusion that Omise Go (OMG) is one of them.
In this article I will share some of the research I've done on OmiseGo and leave it up to my readers to decide whether this sounds like an opportunity they would be interested in.
What is OmiseGo (OMG)?
According to their website, OmiseGO is a public Ethereum-based financial technology for use in mainstream digital wallets, that enables real-time, peer-to-peer value exchange and payment services agnostically across jurisdictions and organizational silos, and across both fiat money and decentralized currencies. Designed to enable financial inclusion and disrupt existing institutions, access will be made available to everyone via the OmiseGO network and digital wallet framework, starting in Q4 2017.
To explain it more simply OmiseGo is a platform that will operate like the payment platform Paypal but with the ability to integrate other payment platforms as well over blockchain. Imagine if Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Tesla all joined forces... What kind of abilities would a massive merger on that scale provide them?
OMG will connect different online payment platforms through the blockchain massively reducing fees and increasing its users abilities to transfer payments worldwide and invest in growth opportunities all over the world.
Here are a few recent developments about OmiseGo (OMG) that I've come across recently.
In an article entitled 'OmiseGO Prepares To Widely Distribute A Percentage Of OMG Throughout Ecosystem Supporting It' it states that the company wants to distribute its tokens more fairly and it will do so by following this strategy:
On August 7, 2017, OmiseGO, an Ethereum blockchain-based payment solution company, announced that it would issue 5 percent of the total OMG tokens it has set aside for Ethereum holders in the near future via an Airdrop or massive disbursement to blockchain wallet addresses.
This will be a nice little reward for holders of Ethereum and a nice way to bring investors and attention back to the Ethereum blockchain and its token, ETH. Furthermore it proves the bond between the two companies and tokens is very strong.
OmiseGo is working directly with the Bank of Thailand.
OmiseGo has been having high level meetings with the Bank of Thailand and the Ministry of Finance in August, 2017.
#Omise #Facepay successfully launch at Ministry of Finance in Thailand. Will be on TV.
Beyond the fact that they have had recent meetings with the Bank of Thailand, Vitalik himself, the creator of Ethereum also attended which makes things more interesting.
The fact that Omise is a real company and OmiseGo is their digital token makes things very interesting, beyond that there are plans to move to a POS (Proof of Stake) system which rewards token holders with a percentage of fees collected from their online payments platform. If this sounds like how a stock provides dividends than we are both on the same page at this point.
OmiseGo (OMG) has a proposed partnership with McDonald's Thailand
If the bank news and the Facepay opportunity still hasn't grabbed your interest another bit of research I've found relates to OMG's partnership with McDonald's in Thailand.
Here is a link to the reddit thread in which I have found information relating to a potential integration of OMG into the Mcdonalds payment platform:
https://www.reddit.com/r/omise_go/
OmiseGO (OMG) is a very active company.
I highly recommend reviewing their roadmap on their website and testing their software: https://www.omise.co/
Techblogger Wrap Up
So lets review what we have learned about OMG in this article:
1.) OmiseGo is a real Fintech company with a token called OMG
2.) The OMG token will be POS and move to its own blockchain in the near future.
3.) The OMG token will provide users with a percentage of the profits made for transactions over the payment platform.
4.) The OmiseGo payment platform will integrate several other payment platforms (similar to if Alipay and Paypal and all their little buddies got together and made a massive payment platform or allowed users to make payments between each free of charge.)
5.) OmiseGo has a proposed partnership with McDonalds Thailand and plans to roll out its token as a payment option their in the near future.
6.) OmiseGo is giving ETH holders a piece of the action with free OMG tokens.
7.) OmiseGo has Vitalik as a key advisor.
8.) OmiseGo has a relationship with Thailand's Ministry of Finance and a new FacePay platform being released in the near future.
Now, take a look around at other cryptocurrencies and tell me if you can see anything different between them and OMG. Because of all these massive developments I've made a substantial investment into this platform / project and see big things in the future for it.

Have you got more information on the AirDrop as in when is it ,what percent, and so on
Wow! Looks like it has an amazing future!
Of course I see this post right after I buy EOS :P I guess I'm going to have to buy some OMG soon :D
EOS is great too.
What I ended up doing was split my EOS in half and use half to buy OMG :D
Its always good to keep eggs in a few baskets... More chance for gains and the losses are only half as bad.
Despite that i liked your post very much as it's simple, easy to understand and organized.
But in fact i did not like the bank. Since my main reason to join to the cryptocurrencies world is to be free from banks and i always support decentralized networks only. In addition to the aforementioned is I don't support proof stake(POS); it's just like the old story, the rich become richer without effort and the poorer get more poorest with much effort.
Its a work in progress. Dpos is more ecofriendly than mining and there are many ways to make it more fair as well. OmiseGo is the future of companies and it is leading the charge by giving its token real underlying value.
Please tell Shares are available in ploniex or on other exchanges??
I bought my OMG tokens on bittrex.
Ahn Then its Great!
Nice post
Thanks post good.?
As I have read about McDonals and the implementation into it's payment system, I instantly thougth about TenX (PAY) - where you can order a "credit card" like card, with which you can pay just like with a debit or credit card. The huge advantage is that, you don't have to make special contracts with the individual companys to accept the new payment system, it just works everywhere where a standard credit card is accepted. Read more here: https://www.tenx.tech/
PAY is ok but let me ask you this. If VISA was so great why would people use Paypal. They are two different models and both will help crypto grow even bigger. Thanks for your thoughts.
Yes, they both help crypto to become bigger. I think the very big disadvantage with VISA is that it is still a credit card of which people are afraid of and it can easily be stolen if you enter your data on the wrong website. However, I think PAY heads more into the direction of a debit card rather than a credit card. Furthermore it provides a service where people can "carry arround" their cryptocurrencies and makes it tangible, something they can actually pay with and believe in.
I don't understand TENX as well (PAY). How does PAY generate income for its token holders? I'd assume its the same as OMG where stakeholders are rewarded with a percentage of transaction fees. Am I correct?
grateful for this idea and information.
Thanks for the information....

Really good, I think OmiseGo is waiting for a great future
