What is Peerity?

Peerity is a Decentralized Blockchain based social media platform which focuses on community and helps individuals to connect their likeable community. Peerity acknowledges the need of communities and it rewards users for any of their contribution in the growth of communities. Anything you share for the community growth, you get rewarded in return.

How is it different from other social media platforms?

Peerity is focused on community goals and also helping individuals to reach their goals. Posting selfies won't get any reward to you but sharing quality content and remain active in a community will get you definitely rewarded.

The goal of peerity is to make social media as valuable and informative as it can. By simply reducing the need of unnecessary content and focusing on the group needs, the next level social media would be an example and a hub of information where people exchange ideas to come with some extraordinary ideas to help the community and society as a whole.

Peerity don't keep a surveliance on your browsing patterns, search history, friends, families, sharing patterns and much more. Your data would be safe on secured peerity servers. From there, it will not go anywhere. Social cooling a major concern currently with all social media platforms.

What Platform peerity uses on Blockchain?

The Peerity blockchain runs on Tendermint. We decided to use Tendermint because of its superior speed and BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance) consensus engine. It also allows us to make our blockchain flexible and dynamic, not just for us but towards other existing projects as well.

How peerity would reward its users?

Peerity would reward its users in Peerity tokens named PEER. This will be a cryptocurrency which can be send and recieve from others. Also it can be used for exchange other crytpocurrencies.

How peerity token would be created?

Apart from 100 Million tokens reserved for Peerity crowdsale, an ongoing creation of tokens through our Distributed Proof of Stake system based on the Peerity platform’s activity level. The more activity there is on the network, the more tokens will be created.

When is Peerity Crowdsale of Peerity?

Peerity crowdfunding would be live on October 4, 2017. But the entries would not be free for everyone. You have to join their mailing list as the entry to the crowdfunding would be on Invitation basis.
