Beware of those who promote cryptocurrency just for the sake of having a low supply. Many of these crypto-traders I have noticed heavily promote a particular crypto-coin as it has low supply.

They take advantage of the rise in cost and quickly dump it after the short pump.

If someone is NOT able to explain the technology and advantages behind the coin and also compare it with competitor coins explaining the difference and the edge it holds, DO NOT fall for the deceitful advice as these are the pump and dump type of people in the crypto-space who have no long-term thinking but are focused towards making large short-term profits at the cost of newbie investors.

Even in the case of bitcoin , if one is NOT able to explain WHY bitcoin is superior to other alternative coins like ethereum and many others in the market, be careful of these people as well as they have mined bitcoin since the past few years, have stocked it up and are also among those looking to profit from the low supply with no real LONG-TERM vision.
