I have to disagree with your article, it wasn't communicated very well at all. The launch was supposed to be on the 15th there was no communication leading up to that date, even though they acknowledge they knew of the problems prior to this. The CEO never posted until a whole day later!

The message I take is that I would be very worried about the long term viability of this project, no source code in over 8 months, limited updates and no real tangible progress, I hope to be proven wrong I truly do.

Don't forget this isn't the first delay on this project. Their track record for milestones is not good and I could forgive that with regular updates, but you have to admit this hasn't been managed very well so far.
