Loom Network with big news for Blockchain Interoperability - PlasmaChain to connect ETH + EOS + TRON
Loom Network is a great project building out second layer scaling solutions and gaming applications on Ethereum.
It has a working implementation of Plasma, a scaling solution which takes transactions off the main chain and runs them through a DPoS sidechain.
They have recently announced the slightly surprising step of releasing integrations for Tron and EOS into PlasmaChain. Why is that important? Because this will allow Dapp developers to offer their Dapps to users on all three chains simultaneously!

While Ethereum has the most devs building on it by some margin , EOS and TRON have seen increased activity since they went live. It's good competition for Ethereum, and these competing chains will focus Ethereum's collective mind to preserve their first mover advantage in the smart contracting domain.
However, Loom's move should benefit all these chains, as now a game or digital asset developed on one chain can be ported to the other. Great news for Dapp devs, but also for users.
Ethereum, EOS, and Tron users will be able to interact seamlessly with PlasmaChain Dapps as if they were native Dapps on each of those platforms.
As far as I see it, interoperability is the end game for blockchain. In order for the tech to be truly revolutionary and disrupt multiple industries, the UX must be as frictionless as possible, with assets flowing freely across chains.
In revolutionary potential, blockchain is often compared to the internet. Imagine only being able to send emails to gmail.com or hotmail.com accounts! Email would never have taken off it that was the case. However, now the foundational blocks of infrastructure for the cryptosphere are slowly sliding into place, and I think within 5-10 years true x-chain interoperability will be with us.
