Ok. Just joined because of your post. Hope it goes well. Thanks for the info. Am on Publish0x as michaeljn not sure how it all works yet. But will get there. 😊

Just registered today and waiting confirmation to become author! This was great, another place to write a blog :D

I use this and have for awhile now. I like it. The tips are starting to add up. Bat was just added not too long ago. It seems like I may get more bat from it then from the ads but it is still early to decide that for sure.

Publish0x is also an awesome platform. I only have written one article for the platfrom when it was still payong bounty0x only. Glad to see them integrating with other projects. I think it time to pay it visit once more.

Guys let's check it out

Thanks for the info. jdk is now a member there. Any issues with cross posting my own articles from here to there?

Posted using Partiko iOS

You can do this, no issues. :)

Looks like it just gets better and better for crypto sites. I still don't quite understand it all, there are so many to choose from, but very exciting!

This is great, the blockchain is evolving, better things are coming in. This is an amazing development. Publish0x, here I come.

I’d be curious to give it a shot. I’m not one to write about crypto though so could test it out on other topics.

It's open to all the topics, though crypto based articles do the best for sure. Still, give it a shot!

What's the difference from steemit ?

Posted using Partiko Android

The main differences are:

  • Publish0x doesn't have it's own token or blockchain - it gives out many different tokens (right now: BAT, DAI StableCoin, HYDRO).
  • Publish0x also pays out tokens to readers, and it does not matter which articles readers choose to tip... the reader can always keep a % of the tip, which is the same no matter how well the article does on the platform, so there's no "curation" element to it, or the "hunting whales" element either.

So it's a bit different. It's simpler to use, and more focused on crypto based topics than Steemit.

I tried it out. I made an incredible $0.05 in crypto before they cut me off for the day. Got a message that said limit reached come back tomorrow...lol

Yeah, there's a limit in how many times you can tip. It's not realistic to expect limitless tips, as it's not like the site owns BAT, DAI or HYDRO, it has to be bought with ETH or BTC or in whichever way.

For publishers though, they can earn continuously, the posts never expire.

Oh that is a lot different than the 7 day reward cycle of Steem. Here every post looses value after 7 days.

If I intend correctly then a real high quality post could still reward the author several years later.

Yeah, when the new audience finds a post published last year, they can tip it still.

Hmm, so it's like steemit?

It's like Steemit as much as Steemit is like Medium - they are all publishing platforms.

Ahh I understand, I think publish0x was using own blockchain, I'll try later, thanks for the explanation!

Another difference – Steemit is a name that you can actually remember. What is Publish0x , how do I even say it? ))

Just Publish. :) The 0x is silent. :P

But fair point, it's not an ideal choice for a name.

Being a coder, it almost looks like ‘publish hex’ as 0x is often used to denote a hexadecimal number value in code.

Posted using Partiko iOS

Oh, that makes sense now that you said it! But not all of us a are proficient in coding, still a weird branding choice, I think.

I just got started on steemit but this looks interesting too. Would you say that it's fair to compare publish0x to steemit? I'm wondering if I should be on both platforms...

I think you should give both of them a test. They are comparable in the sense that both can be compared to Medium - they are publishing platforms... but there are many differences too.
