Bittrex is Distributing XLM to BitCoin Holders by July 28 - Have you Received Yours? I Haven't Yet.
I was actually surprised to come across this post when I woke up this morning. XLM tokens will be distributed at the latest, by tomorrow. Sure, it could be old news to some of you guys, but DAMN . . free tokens are always nice!
The article posted by Bittrex says:
The XLM will be distributed proportionally to users who held a Bittrex Bitcoin balance on June 28th when the on-exchange snapshot was performed.
I've heard that it could be bad for the overall price of the coin due to inflating the sheer number of tokens. Honestly, that makes a lot of sense. Another Steemit user @fredrick wrote about the situation in this post.
If you did have some btc in your account on June 28th, get ready to have some XLM in your account. I don't have any XLM yet, so I'm going to assume that it hasn't happened yet.
This distribution of XLM will be performed before July 28th, 2017 and will involve making a generated XLM deposit into eligible accounts.
Just wanted to give any one out there who wasn't aware of this, (maybe you were away from your keyboard the last couple months lol) a chance to get in on the action.
