Lunyr - A Decentralized Way to Advance the Sharing of Peer-Reviewed Knowledge

If you haven't heard of Lunyr, it is understandable. With all of the ICOs and newcomers to blockchain, it is nearly impossible to keep track of all of them. Not to mention trying to sort through what has potential and what is a giant steaming pile of shit. I heard about this one today through a friend and decided to check it out.

TL;DR

Lunyr is what happens when Wikipedia hooks up with Steemit after a night of drinking at the bar and unprotected sex.

I digress. I just needed to get the short handed version down before I lost the interest of those who don't like to read.

Lunyr is a way for contributors to be compensated for peer reviewed articles. The incentive based system combined with the peer review system ensures the reliable dissemination of information. How it works is a contributor creates or edits articles in the decentralized knowledge base. The contributor then submits the article for peer review and if it passes, it is published and the contributor is rewarded. Now, I might jumble this up but I'm going to try to explain it as I understand the payouts. The contributor can then claim CBN, LUN, and HNR tokens from smart contracts. The contributors can then use LUN to advertise and use HNR for achievement rewards.

"Lunyr is an Ethereum-based decentralized world knowledge base which rewards users with app tokens for peer-reviewing and contributing information. We aim to be the starting point of the internet for finding reliable, accurate information. Our long-term vision is to develop a knowledge base API that developers can use to create next generation decentralized applications in Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and more." (from the Lunyr home page)

Oh, and did I mention no censorship from the Man? Yeah, Big Brother can fuck right off.

Be sure and read the white sheet linked below. In my personal opinion I will be investing in this now as the token price appears to be rather low. I would suspect in the fall that this token will increase substantially near the launch of the Alpha or Beta release later this year.

Good luck and happy investing. If you found this article helpful, upvote and resteem!

This sums up the review of Lunyr...very nicely put and thanks for sharing an informative post.

We'll just say I get creative to knock the boredom out of writing articles about crypto.

Who peer reviews the articles?

So, it is very similar to Steemit in that regard. Except as a contributor you are required to peer review.

From the white sheet.

Peer Review
The contributor’s workflow begins with adding or editing information in the knowledge
base in hopes of receiving rewards. Each contributor’s submission costs gas, so
flooding the system with junk has its economic limits, just as in Ethereum.

All
submissions go through a mandatory peer review process and are not committed
to the knowledge base unless approved.

Every submission requires sources for
reviewers to validate the submission’s reliability and accuracy. Hence, spam, fake, or
malicious content will be filtered out.
Every user who submits a contribution is also required to peer review other
submissions. We use Machine Learning to match peer reviewers with topics with which
they will likely be familiar. Submissions are not committed unless they pass the
judgment of multiple peer reviewers.
It is crucial that peer reviewers are also contributors to ensure that only individuals who
are economically aligned with the well being of the ecosystem are able to peer review
submissions. Bad actors who try to attack the system will be fighting against legions of
good actors driven by a powerful incentive system.

Thanks. I look forward to the website in action.

That's what I'm most interested in. I want to spend hours just nerding out.

Cheers,

Sean

@wekkel I cyber stalked you. I like your content, definitely going to follow. You should do a homey a hookup and resteem :-)

Not sure whether flattered or frightened... :)

Followed!

Uhhh... have you read my blog? You should be both, it's not a dichotomy.
