All Hashflare customers woke up today on a very unpleasant news, a new announcement by Hashflare team changing the terms of all current and new SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts to be limited to 1 year instead of unlimited!
What a stupid move to affect the reputation of the company, They are still charging a daily maintenance fee for both contracts!
Hundreds of Hashflare customers are calling the company as SCAM on Twitter!

Here's the announcement:

Dear users,

The cryptocurrency industry has always been susceptible to a high amount of volatility, and recent global changes have been some of the most significant. Due to an industry-wide hardware deficit, many market participants, especially mining hardware manufacturers, have to adjust their operations, procurements, terms, and prices of ASIC miners and their delivery.

Per Section 5 of Hashflare Terms of Service, SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts are now also subject to change. The changes, which mainly cover the terms and the prices of the contracts will become effective on September 1, 2017.

The new price for 10 GH/s of SHA-256 will be $2.40, while 1 MH/s of Scrypt will now cost $11.50. The maintenance & electricity fee will remain the same.

All new SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts will be issued for a limited term of 1 year from the moment of activation. All SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts activated prior to 01.09.2017 will expire on 31.08.2018.

Sincerely,
Hashflare.io team

Interesting, but in the current climate I think we can call them "ok"...

Nice while it lasted I suppose, my own investment is fairly small and past the point of breaking even at least. I do hope genesis will not follow suit, again my contracts are small but much newer :/

atleast genesis are providing 2 year contracts with no maintenance fees...

Indeed, I always took the "lifetime" bit from both companies with a pinch of salt, nothing lasts that long especially mining equipment :)

but no reinvesting

Hello Mate!
I confirm they scam people...!
I made a withdrawal last night of my account.
They claim to have raised the fee to a minimum of 0,0006btc.
Now after confirming my request my account gets credited and the full amount minus the 0,0006btc fee is gone.
But in the blockchain only the amount credited without the fee is visible and only a tiny fee of 0,000021 got payed.
Hashflare took the 0,0006 as a fee for themselves...!!!

I don't understand. If this company is a scam why nobody sue them? This scammers should be stopped for they're just fooling people and robbing them of their hard-earned money. People, in general, don't care too much for others but only for themselves.

I have not seen any evidence of a scam. A company changing their policy isn't considered a scam when they have to give you fair warning in a written email. Scammers don't respond to support emails and ask for customer surveys on performance. I personally sent BTC from my wallet and didn't account for the transfer fees so the amounts didn't match so it was in limbo for a few weeks but the staff corrected the issue manually. Again, not the MO of a scammer. This post is clickbait at best.
