Check the charts at coin market cap. Do some research as to which coins have a good platform and that you can see doin well in the future. If you don't have much mining power I suggest mining a coin that still very cheap .01 or less and then you can obtain lots. If your coin goes to a dollar in a year you will be very happy.
Personally I still think Bytecoin (BCN) is a good investment it's still very cheap. It's could be a good long term investment. Especially if you don't have a lot of money.
But as always do your own research !
