Will Verge Moon Soon?

Following the completion of an ambitious crowdfunding campaign, the CEO and creator of Verge (XVG), Justin Sunerok, thanked the @vergecurrency Twitter community and TokenPay for their part in raising the 75 million XVG needed to secure "the biggest deal in crypto history."

Justin Sunerok then posted a video on Twitter stating that "We're going to be announcing the name of the partner on April 16th, simultaneously with a global marketing campaign, the likes of which you have never seen before. It's going to change crypto in a really, really good way."

Naturally, this has created a lot of excitement in the crypto space regarding a mysterious big partnership announcement along with a change in sentiment and price run that has seen XVG hit 6c at the time of writing, up 50% in the last 7 days. Not bad considering the bear market we seem to be in.

Justin Sunerok gave an interview to the “The Larry and Joe Show”, only hinting at what to expect on 17th April (rather than 16th), due to the constraints of a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Sunerok states that the expected announcement will be big enough to attract the world’s media attention. He used the term "major corporation" and "a name that everybody's going to know" with "exclusive adoption for a long time" and "marketing that will be in the mainstream news." The biggest claim made during this interview is that XVG "will become a top 3 cryptocurrency by market-cap" and "the partnership is good to go for sure and there's nothing wrong that could happen out of it."

This is likely to be big and the value of XVG could be set to rocket.

The similarity between his name and Justin Sun’s makes me doubtful, only because “an announcement about an announcement” is also very TRON, but hype is hype I uses. I’ve made money with TRON twice.

Are you on discord? You’d make a nice crypto buddy.

I hope that the partnership announcement doesn't turn-out to be over-hyped, as that would certainly be very Tron like and Verge will suffer badly for it.

Did you hear the one about Sun announcing an investment from Ali Baba? Well, it turned-out to be the fella that cuts his hair.

I'm going to re post an updated version of this article, just before the 17th, due to the developments since it was written, which may have killed the "partnership." People are asking why Verge performed a fork, instead of a roll back and that it will result in hodlers being unable to sync their wallets, which are now on the old blockchain. There are also some conspiracy theorists saying that the partnership announcement is part of an elaborate exit strategy by Sunerok, but this seems unlikely: Surely TokenPay wouldn't have taken part in the crowdfunding without certain reassurances and I doubt that Sunerok wants to go to jail.

I spoke to a seasoned trader of various instruments on this site, who considered that the risky, but potentially high rewarding trade on Verge was worthwhile.

I don't know much about Discord, but I'll look into this. Cheers buddy.
