When thinking about security of our companies, we usually rush in to install the latest in CCTV cameras, motion sensors, heat sensors and all other security gadgets that can alert us of intruders. We spend fortunes on this to try and protect both tangible and intangible property. Now, all these systems alert authorities by means of alarms or sending signals via messages or alerts. This requires that they are connected to a network. Having a network means that it has multiple entry points especially in an organizational set up, simply put, all these gadgets can become useless one click of a button.
