QUADRANT PROTOCOL IS WELL PREPARED FOR THE DATA MARKET

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Most, if not all, systems in operation require accurate and precise data to run. Imagine studying for examinations with the wrong text books, or writing the wrong code while developing software; the results are obviously going to be disastrous. Preventing this from happening is driving Quadrant to have a platform in place where authentic data can be shared and be used to help solve some of the problems that we experience every day.

Trying to meet data needs

It is no secret that data demand around the globe is increasing. Companies have seen the changes accurate data can make and are now trying to use data to change their products and services accordingly. Data vendors are thriving as their businesses grows exponentially with both start-ups and already established businesses seeking to have an edge over each other through choices influenced by the right data.

Meeting data needs is however not simple. You can find the type of data that you would want but it’s common to find that the data sold to you may be corrupted or inaccurate. The source of these inaccuracies in the current data market cannot be pinned to the producer or distributor of the data due to a lack of proof system that can identify the creator and modifier of the data.

The data market is filled with willing buyers but the data vendors have no way to authenticate the data and some may even be adulterating data intentionally. There is also the huge possibility of purchasing duplicate data from different vendors especially if they have the same data producers. Wasted resources and erroneous results are disheartening to any company whether large or small. To prevent more stressful hours for workers and owners of these companies, Quadrant’s platform offers data services that are accurate with remunerations being fair across the data space.

Enter Quadrant

Providing accurate data without proper remuneration, even for producers, is not sustainable in the long-term. Quadrant wants to tackle this issue and other hindrances to the supply and acquisition of accurate data. Their platform caters for everyone involved in data production, relay and use. It starts right from data producers to the final consumer of this data. Having a clear path between data producers and consumers may not be viable; however, having a distinct path to be followed may work.

Quadrant is coming in armed with blockchain technology which offers an immutable ledger like recording of transactions and transparent transactions that can be viewed or confirmed by transacting parties within the platform. Through purchasing of data within the platform, data consumers can be assured that the data vendors are provided accurate data as provided to them by data producers. Any refinement of this data is also declared and hashed such that the authenticity of the data can be confirmed whenever purchases are made. Furthermore, measures have also been put in place to prevent consumers from buying the same data set from different data vendors.

Quadrant’s data accuracy and autonomous vehicle use cases

Data accuracy is important in this digital age where machine learning and artificial intelligence are being incorporated into everything. The rise in the internet of things means that more data recording avenues will be available for various companies. Data resources from such devices are likely to shape the future of most industries.

➡️Take data on traffic for example, various companies are working on autonomous cars as a solution to traffic problem and as a form of convenience.

➡️These cars would need accurate data collected from different devices around them to help them navigate and make better traffic choices.

➡️When combined with data already fed into the software, autonomous cars may adopt to any road situation that arises during a journey. The same feature can be applied to autonomous drones making deliveries.

✅A proof of work mechanism will be used as an extra measure of security in the platform. It is important that the data in Quadrant remains as accurate as possible. The proof of work mechanism will act as an extra layer of security preventing any malicious data from being submitted into the platform. Imagine a case where wrong data is fed into autonomous cars, it could lead to a number of catastrophes. Quadrant’s platform is designed to prevent such catastrophes arising from inaccurate data.

The Quad Tokens

✅Quadrant enters the data market with lucrative deals to data consumers who decide to use their platform. There are rewards depending on activities completed in the Quadrant platform by data consumers. These rewards are made using Quad tokens, the official utility tokens in the Quadrant platform. They can be used to make various payments for use of the platform. Subscription to execution of data smart contracts, stamping and verifying of data are some of the activities that require Quad tokens. The increased use of Quad tokens would impact positively on the value of these tokens which would be beneficial for early token buyers.

Conclusion

Quadrant’s solution to the data crisis that is emerging, or established in some cases, is one that works well with the digital savvy work space. Its take on fair remuneration and incentive sharing also puts it in good terms with its potential users. Quadrant is also prepared for changes that are to come in future in the blockchain sphere. It is based on the Ethereum blockchain but it is open to a move to any public blockchain that would provide better services for its clients. Quadrant is well equipped and prepared for the data market.

i really enjoyed reading this blog. it just appeared randomly on my feed and i am happy it did.
I want to check out this Quadrant project to see their token matrix and see their white paper roadmap. Relly like the project and think it can be a very big project in the near future.

I also now have started following you and given you my 17sp vote for a good article

Hey, @salmanmiah! Inaccurate information isn't only not useful, but can bring decent harm. Company have to pay directly to users for quality information, so this project will be useful for both sides. The campaigns will only benefit from this, they are now paying a lot of money, not to the information source, but to intermediaries. It's fairer to pay us directly than to sites that collect this information about us for free. So of course it was easier and faster, but the information quality is worse, since it is impossible to track and evaluate its source. Receiving a reward for their answers, the user will give more honest and detailed information. Greet review!
