There are some products that find their way into the market and you wonder how they even made it there. Some are so bad that a literal ‘Museum of Failure’ was opened up in Sweden to show case just how bad we can be at product design. Sometimes the products made may only appeal to a small section of the population and wrongly termed as failure but most times it is the wrong judgement that someone somewhere made that made these products hit the market.

Part of coming up with new products involves doing extensive research in the market especially your target market. This usually involves collection of a lot of data from the behavior of the market and from the feedback obtained.

Third Parties

Third parties may provide the data that companies require. Some may specialize in their services while others just provide data for the sake of data provision. It is quite important that the data obtained by companies is as accurate and precise as can possibly be. Even a slight error in the shade of a color preferred by the market could ruin an entire product.

To avoid losses, companies need accurate data provision that eliminates third parties completely as they are a source of possible error. Blockchain is the technology that is phasing out third parties in different economic sectors. Opiria is going to use blockchain to also phase out third parties in the data collection process.

Trusted Data

Opiria will base its system on the Ethereum blockchain. The selection of blockchain as the backbone of the platform is based on the transparency and security that Opiria intends to have in its system. Opiria wants a case where users are confident that their data moves from one source to another with no middlemen involved. The immutability of blockchain makes this possible. Opiria also desires to have a platform where their clients can trust the data that they obtain from there. Getting this data straight form consumers is the first step of creating this trust. The less hands data passes through the more trustworthy the data is.

In this case, it is passing through no hand. Opiria will also have to make consumers give out their true data. This may be up to the consumer but Opiria has incentivized their platform to encourage users to give out their data. They have also given users control over their data where they get to decide when they give out their data and to who they give out their data too. The use of their data will also be explained to them. This transparency and secure transfer of data will create an atmosphere of trust for both the clients of Opiria and the consumers supplying the data.

Possible Gains

With consumers being involved in product creation and improvement and companies getting the right data they want, there may be significant improvements in the products and services offered in the market. Consumers may give their honest feedback on the products that are already in the market and may help product designers with the details that matter most to consumers. This will also help companies avoid losses associated with low sale volumes.

By creating their platform, Opiria would have made a way in which unethical collection of user data may be stopped as that data would be of less value compared to what Opiria will be offering. Internet users would then take a break from all this data privacy issues.

Making Opiria Possible

Opiria is an already established company. However, as it moves into new territory, it requires the help of everyone it can get. They have a goal they need to reach which will see them develop this platform into what they had envisioned. They are having their tokens, the PDATA, on sale to help fund raise for this project. The token sale is will end 14th July or when hardcap is reached.
