Cryptocurrency, a newly introduced term in Nepal. Many people are unaware about it, some people are interested in it and only very few people are involved in it. While it is globally expanding each year and its popularity touching the sky, its existence could not be ignored in Nepal, and a few people started their journey on Bitcoin but to make this scene worse, Nepal government decided to put ban Bitcoin transcation in Nepal and arrested the investors. It is completely illogical decision, made without any research and study about the subject.
So , I have presented some of the reasons on why cryptocurrenxy should not be banned here in Nepal:

  1. Prohibiting cryptocurrency and its transaction in Nepal means lagging behind in the race of technological advancement at this modern age. We can at least join the race, if not lead it and include Nepal in crypto map.

  2. Looking at the immediate success of cryptocurrencies around the globe and their growing popularity, it is needless to say cryptocurrencies are the future. At the present context, there are no investors from Nepal, but if it is legalized, people will start investing in it and expand their economy.

  3. Cryptocurrency provides easy, safe and cheap transaction which is particularly what is needed in Nepal where lots of fraudery and monetary deceptions are prevailing.

  4. Many youths of Nepal can develop career in Cryptocurrency and get themself a job like : Cryptocurrency analysts, Blockchain developers, Traders, Miners, Sales associates etc.

How can we remove the Ban??
The ultimate queestion is how can we reomve the ban. The first and the most important step for removing the ban is to compel the administration to review Bank Act and monetary policy. One of the major problem is that the people at the higher post in Nepal donot have sufficient knowledge about technology and as the saying goes "Little knowledge is dangerous", the decision they have made is particularly dangerous for all the crypto enthusiasts in Nepal. Little do they know that, a huge number of unemployed people who are leaving the country, could explore their career in cryptocurrencies. It would not just help to uplift the economy of the individual but also the nation.

I think what we can do from our level, to remove this ban is form a group of actively involved and interested cypto enthusiasts (like an organization) and conduct meetup programmes with various economists, financial advisors with active participation of government officials too, to discuss about the cryptocurrency potentiality in Nepal, its advantages, its risks and everything. This platform of steemit can also play a vital role in this agenda because in the recent days, the number of Nepali steemians have been increasing a lot and steemians support group like @teamnepal can play the role of leader in this mass technological revolution.
