All of us who are fortunate enough to be on Steemit now got an early Cristmas present as SBD is at around 12$. It has lost it's peg to the dollar about 2 weeks ago and since then it's reaching new all time highs every day.
This means that your 10$ post is actually making you around 80$ now. Ofcourse if you sell your SBD that is. If you don't sell or power up you are at risk of loosing massive profits if SBD falls back to it's original value.
DON'T WASTE YOUR SBD ON BUYING UPVOTES
Because currently everyone is trying to make a quick buck with buying upvotes from bots. That means that you will probably end up loosing a lot of money as you loose 25% on curators and 50% of the leftover 75% will go to Steem Power.
Let me show you a quick example, looking at a the best case scenario.
Let's say you invest 10SBD to buy a vote and you are actually lucky enough to get 30$ (take in consideration that this is the best possible scenario you can expect and that you will probably get much less than 3x as everyone is trying to do this now)
Ok so now you have 30$ on your post, let's take a look at what you will actually get when the post pays out.
- 25% of the 30$ goes back to the curators meaning 30x0.25= 8.75 , 30-8,75=21,25$
From that 21,25 - 50% goes to SP which will be about 6SP and the other half you will recive as SBD meaning you will get 10,62$ SBD. Meaning you got 0,6 more SBD and gained 6SP.
This is the best case scenario that probably won't happen, so please take this in consideration and don't waste your precious SBD on buying votes.
NOTE: the only reason why I decided to buy upvotes for this post is so that more people can see this post.
WHAT TO DO THEN?
- Sell your SBD on Bittrex for BTC , enjoy your profits and do whatever you want with it.
- Or you can get some dirt cheap Steem Power from our internal market.
That are currently your two best options.

DON'T USE POLONIEX FOR STEEM/SBD TRANSACTIONS
because transactions for Steem and SBD are not going through and Poloniex still didn't say anything about it.
They didn't say why this is happening or will users get their Steem/SBD back so beware and use Bittrex at all costs because you might loose everything on Poloniex.

Yep, it's like betting. Sometimes you win but most of the times you loose. Especially now when SBD is so high.
i rather use market to convert it to steem and power up haha..
