Cub Finance Price, APR, and Sentiment Update
So I had been hearing about Pancake Swap but was sorta confused and overwhelmed by how it worked and didn't fully understand the risks so didn't get involved. Then saw a buddy over on Steemit recommend CubDefi.Com aka Cub Finance. It was someone I trusted and he did a good job of explaining it so decided to dip my toes in the water and buy a few Cubs. Overall the process seemed fairly easy and I was immediately hooked.
Now I got in when the APR in a Cub Den was about 3600%. I watched it slowly fall to 1600%, 800%, and eventually settle around 200% give or take. Now initially when those high ARP's went away some people dumped, though to my surprise Cub price recovered quickly which I was happy about.
Initially through this recent market dump and alt dump Cub was holding up pretty well. Yesterday it slid a bit going as low as $2.72 at one point, however at the time of this writing early morning on April 25, 2021 price is up over 8% and we've gone back above $3.
Now one thing that seemed interesting to me is in the past it seemed like when Cub price was down APR was up, I assume some people sell off as price is falling. With this recent dip however Cub price was down and APR was also a bit lower than normal. Again at the time of this writing APR is sitting at 121%. I have a feeling in the coming weeks we'll see Cub Den APR go more inline with other similar platforms and probably fall below 100%.
Now in terms of things coming down the pipeline, and I'm not the most knowledgeable person about Cub Finance but Kingdoms are coming which to my understanding are Dens with auto compounding, that's pretty cool as it can be a bit of a hassle having to constantly compound or harvest, I'll be curious to see if there's also fees with auto compounding or if that's free. I'm very impatient and probably too quick to claim Cub and probably cost myself money in gas fees doing so too often.
The big thing which I'm starting to see as a bit dissapointing is the Bridge. The Bridge concept is amazing but I saw a poster here on Leo Finance breakdown the fees and the fees seem pretty steep to the point of making it not that attractive to use.
Overall I'm still Bullish on Cub Finance, I do think Pancake Swap is really going to take off in the near future so trying to decide if there's an opportunity cost in being too heavy in Cub versus Pancake. Pancake adoption is growing very fast and Cub adoption isn't quite as fast though I do potentially see more upside and more opportunity here but less certainty about that positivity.
