Cloudcoin - new crypto currency... Easy, fast, cloud based without blockchain.

If blockchain based currencies are the decentralized bank ledgers of the future, then Cloudcoin will be the digital cash of the future. It offers instant payments, full anonymity and no traces of the transaction, just like any cash transaction. It comes with zero processing costs. It's very easy to use. I like it. So what is it about?

Some years ago I played around with Bitcoin a bit on an online exchange. I also set up a few computers to do some Litecoin mining, just to get to understand it a bit better. I felt blockchain was very genius, but it also comes with challenges and those got more troubling with (especially) Bitcoin over the past years. The huge size of the blockchain, the time it takes to get a transaction confirmed and fees the network charges. The amount of electricity needed to mine the next block. As soon as your name gets linked to your address(es), your whole payment history is public. And with Bitcoin's price going through the roof, you cannot really use it to buy a coffee anymore either.

What I like most about crypto currencies is that it shows we don't really need banks anymore to account for transactions between people. Even better we now see cryptos like Steem that encourage people's creativity. Mankind has spontaneously started to develop alternatives for our corrupt systems of banks and governments. No more debt based currency created out of nothing, no more banks skimming off every transaction. Can we evolve ourselves out of debt based serfdom like this?

Bitcoin and all the other cryptos that followed are the start of a new evolution of mankind. We don't know yet if they will ever become mainstream, but they for sure changed the playing field because they make people aware of alternatives.

Last week I stumbled upon Cloudcoin. To me this is the next logical step in crypto: a currency that is so simple to use and so genius in its setup that it was refreshing to read about it. Cloudcoin only went public a few months ago, so it's still very cheap to get in. Even better, they still give away coins for free to try it out. To get 5 Cloudcoins for free click here http://digitalfrontiernews.com/?affiliates=558. (That link has an affiliate code, so I also get 5 coins, if you don't want that, here is clean link http://digitalfrontiernews.com/ I don't know how long they will continue this free give away promotion, so get it free while it lasts)

How to use them you can read here: http://cloudcoinconsortium.com/use.html

Disclaimer: I'm not in any way connected to the people behind Cloudcoin. I did buy 250 Cloudcoins after I tried the 5 free coins they send me, because I really like this new alternative. The image was taken from the Cloudcoin website.

This seems a little scammy to me. It's just something you have to trust with no blockchain?

It is... I think trust is something we need to bring back to society. I also think that if they grow the cloud with more nodes than the current 25, it'll be increasing trust. Still, caution is always a good thing. I'd not advise anyone to go all in. On the other hand, I do think it's great to see people thinking and building alternatives. So maybe this deserves a bit of support. And the 5 free coins come without risk of course, they're free... :-)

I want to try to buy a few. can you sell me some?

Hey @mountrock I only got about 370, and plan to hold them for a while. You can check out their exchange at https://cloudcoinexchange.ch
Or this page https://cloudcoinconsortium.com/buy.php
I do have to say I'm a bit taken back by their lack of progress on the client side. Be careful with this and don't invest more than you can afford to loose!

Notes taken. Thanks buddy

Here are some sites you can get the coins easily-est and cheapest plus you can get some free coins also.

This is not a particularly well marketed item but it is very early in its adoption. They seem to be picking up speed and they are working on development software for the retail end among other things. There was and will be no ICO so it is self funded from the sale of the coin.

Here is a site that has a lot of that news.
