So how did VERGE get here? And what does VERGE truly represent? Well VERGE represents a paradigm shift in the crypto currency world. A bold claim indeed, however it is the only “altcoin” that can proudly call itself truly anonymous and decentralized. It all began in October 2014. The Developer (known on the bitcointalk forum as Hero Member "Dogedarkdev") was determined to create a fun and accessible coin that focuses on anonymity and decentralization. The original coin was named Dogecoindark after the much beloved Dogecoin, but after the creator of Dogecoin… Jackson Palmer left for good, the Dogecoindark community (now VERGE) decided the coin needed a rebranding. In rebranding to VERGE, the community hoped to move away from the connection to Dogecoin and maintain relevancy in the crypto world on its own merit, with the focus on Privacy & Anonymity. So on February 15, 2016 Dogecoindark (DOGED) officially became VERGE (XVG) and new beginnings were on the horizon. Within several days of release, VERGE saw over 200 Bitcoin worth of trading volume on the popular digital currency exchange Bittrex.com. Don't take this as financial advise, but we think Verge has a great future ahead of itself and is a solid long-term investment judging by how things are going so far. Always DYOR and judge for yourself!

Absolutely. I got in at 7 sats. XVG was super undervalued then and it is the same now. That 7000% return will repeat itself as it gradually evolves from shitcoin to actual use. Actual value and price will keep the coin going up as it is meant to be used asap for privacy.

Thanks for this post, I was very surprised once I found out that XVG is actually more private and anonymous than Zcash, Monero and other self-proclaimed ''privacy'' coins out there.
XVG is really undervalued, it just needs a bit of marketing to get it out there. Hope that happens in the future.
