Because they are so cheap a little money gets you a lot of coins, which feels pretty great (although the math is the same for established coins that have a high price).

Remember that this market is still highly speculative, and that you only hear the good news of people who have made money. Lots of folks have lost money trying to time the market (buying when its low and selling when its high), but those stories don’t get repeated very much.
