One of the most common argument against cryptocurrency is that its future is still a big unknown. The powers to be would definitely want to discourage and also to suppress its use and prevent cryptocurrencies from becoming a reality. Hence it might take a while before cryptocurrencies take off. I might not be around then. :-)
That is true. We do not have a reliable crystal ball which can predict the future. Hence, risk management is important and I think cryptocurrencies serve as a reliable hedge against fiat currency risk
