The Sharing Economy and the Blockchain - The Rento App project
As an avid lurker in the cryptocurrency and blockchain worlds, I recently came across a very unique project called "Rento".
As far as I've seen, it's a blockchain-driven app for the sharing economy.
Do you have a game console you don't use? Rent it out.
Need some sound equipment, but don't want to buy them? Rent them.
It's not a new concept in the "sharing economy", what's unique about this project is bringing all of this to the blockchain. Through automated contracts and transparency, the blockchain is a pretty sensible place for this.
Time will tell if Rento is the future, but I'm pretty excited to see where they go.
