How I secure my Private Key: Cryptosteel
Well a while ago I was really thinking on to how upgrade my security.
A regular piece of paper with your password, recovery seed, private key or whatever you want to keep safe isn't doing it anymore.
So I looked for advice online and stumbled upon this simple, yet genius piece called Cryptosteel.
Which I am not affiliated with whatsoever by the way, I bet there is other manufacturers out there aswell.
You could even craft your own if you are handy enough.
But what am I even talking about?
Well it's a backup tool for storing said things offline without any third party involvement.
It is made out of stainless steel and according to their website (https://cryptosteel.com/) it is said to be rust-free, acid-resistant and fireproof up to 1200°C/2100°F.
Basically you just have to open some screws, line up the steel letters, put them inside, secure it again and you're done.
I didn't test any of those extreme conditions on my own Cryptosteel but it looks very robust and if you want you could even put a lock on it, so no one can open it when it's laying around, or you might even put it in a safe.
My experience overall was great, the delivery was quite quick and it was packed environmental friendly in a cardbox with some neat crypto art on it.
Have you thought about your security?
