Ethereum mining - graphics card teststeemCreated with Sketch.

HI Steemit users :)

Below is a summary of the graphics cards that we think are best for mining Ethereum. We have included the Radeon and GTX series cards in the table. We divided the test into several categories: best performance, best performance, greatest disappointment, a card that looks good on paper.

I invite you to discuss what do you think is the best ETH mining card? if the material you like please support it motivates me to continue writing.

In this compilation missing ATI Radeon Vega 64 Its a new cards and need to refine the manufacturer's drivers

Best Performance - Radeon RX 480 and 580:

The AMD Radeon RX 480 and Radeon RX 580 are solid graphics cards. When the AMD Radeon RX 480 first appeared, prices began to rise from $ 1000, and to that, about 24 MH / s of Etherium output was extracted, but you can easily get up to 25-27 MH / s if you want to modify the BIOS and overclock card. You can reduce the power consumption of the AMD Wattman to get power consumption on these cards well below the 150 watts. The new AMD Radeon RX 580 uses more power and costs more than the Radeon RX 480, but gets more performance and many people can get 29 MH / s on the card at about 135 watts power when you perform all known power corrections. Strange is not that all AMD Radeon RX 580/570 cards are sold out.
The biggest disappointment - GeForce GTX 1080:

When we saw the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 pulling 27.4 MH / s, we were impressed by the interesting fact that the faster NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 clock with more CUDA cores has only 20 MH / s. NVIDIA claims that this is because the Ethereum base code corresponds to the GDDR5 delay properties better than GDDR5X. As for Ethereum, the GeForce GTX 1070 has better performance than the GeForce GTX 1080, which means the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti uses GDDR5X memory and has 32 MH / s.
Looks good on paper - AMD Radeon R9 NANO:

The AMD Radeon R9 NANO achieves an impressive 27 MH / s, but it's the max that you can really get because AMD does not allow overclocking HBM. This card, for 175 W consumption, has good performance, but at 1700 PLN you have to spend more time on return on investment. As for cost efficiency, you can buy two Radeon RX 480/580 cards at this price and overclock them to get up to 27 MH / s while reducing power consumption to get a savings of 40-50 watts per card. The AMD Radeon R9 390 has an impressive 30 MH / s on paper, but a power consumption of 275 Watts makes the card not the best choice.
The worst comparison - the GTX 900:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900 series cards do not work well with Windows 10 and they use more power, so if you have one of these cards, you need to run Windows 7 or Ethos, where you can get higher performance levels with older drivers. Do homework if you want to extract ETH on the GTX 900 series card!
Summary:

There are many things to say about mining, but everything breaks down for the right card choices and the right configurations. The AMD Radeon RX 580 and Radeon RX 480 are cards that you can buy at your fingertips, but it's hard to find. We strongly recommend that you use the Ethereum profit calculator when choosing a card.

Sort:

What means 1060 ftw+? Also why benchmark without overclocks, or it does 20 with overclock? Memory matters maybe its that.

I do not think it is possible to indicate how much the manufacturer allows to overclock the card. Each manufacturer has its own options but it is important to overclock :) and squeeze more juice

Have you come across any actual testing stats on the capabilities of Quadro/ Tesla cards for mining cryto-currencies?

I have been in graphics for awhile and know the power of the Quadro/Tesla cards.

Yet even with extensive searching, have not found any true testing of the Quadro/Tesla cards for mining capabilities.

Considering that the block chains are just arithmetic algorithms; the calculation capacity and durability of the Quadro and Tesla cards, would just crush the numbers for mining!

Just going off of device stats for hash rates, the Q/T cards get crushed!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
