The CEO of Stratis has posted an update on the ICO features of Stratis as well as giving an update on the release of Masternodes with Tumblebit (spoiler: it's delayed).

ICO'S ON STRATIS

The good news is that Stratis is now ready for ICO's on the mainnet. There are two flagship ICO's that are set to launch shortly on the Stratis blockchain and these will be the first 'Verified' ICO's, whatever that may mean. Right now any projects that wish to launch an ICO must do so by contacting Stratis first. In the very near future the ICO feature of Stratis will be made publicly available from Microsoft Azure, removing the Stratis team from the process.

So we'll be seeing the first ICO's very soon! This is a pretty good thing for Stratis as it means that in order to participate in a Stratis-based ICO, investors will need to purchase some STRAT first in order to invest. Although I have a hunch that most ICO's will be accepting Bitcoin too, seeing as Stratis is set up to work with Bitcoin and not seek to replace it. That is also the reason why they have a Bitcoin tumble feature. Speaking of which...

TUMBLEBIT DELAYED

The bad news is that the release of Masternodes with the Tumblebit feature has been delayed. The plan was initially to launch these on the mainnet in December but during Beta testing they have found some bugs that require fixing first. The Tumblebit feature is still set to be released in a short time span, of course, but when exactly hasn't been announced (probably a smart move).

Despite some delay on the Tumblebit feature, Stratis is still doing very well price-wise. It is currently in new All-time-high territory and expectations are high that the new features will have a large impact. I have had some doubts about Stratis lately because it was underperforming so much compared to other holdings, but ever since the last dip Stratis has gone from $2.20 all the way to $16 and has outperformed others significantly. I have decided to keep holding my STRAT for a while longer. Especially since I am way up in dollars, but I am actually still quite a lot down from the BTC price I initially paid for them months ago ($3-5 or 175K satoshi's compared to $16 and 120K satoshi's). Despite gaining 300-400% in dollars, I still consider Stratis to be one of my worst investment decisions of 2017! It's funny how that works..

I'm not sure I will be able to make my BTC losses back, but I do think there is more growth to be had. In my mind, Stratis and NEO are projects that can be compared very well to eachother. What NEO will do in the east, Stratis can do in the west. In crypto it seems like no matter what, the best thing to do is, of course, to just hodl.

Stratis is a great coin. It is one of my long-term coins.

This is NOT bad news. This is good. It means the team is committed to produce high quality product.

Oh yes, long term it's good and it shows professionalism, but since we're all waiting for it anxiously, it's bad news because we have to wait longer! :)

I have been investing in cryptos for 2 years. I have learned that the best profit is long term. I bought XRP at the beginning of the year. I got tired because its price would not move and every other coin was going up. So, I sold whatever I had. :(
Lesson learned: When you own a stake in a good project, patience is good.

Yes, I do agree: once you're bought in and the project is good, just hodl the hell out of it.
It's why I still have my Stratis, even though it has been disheartening for the better part of 6 months. If nothing else seems to work, just hodl, is my go to strategy :)
