New NEO dApp competition with Microsoft has 318 teams sign up - That's a lot!! 👍

The recently announced NEO & Microsoft dApp competition for the NEO blockchain has a huge amount of teams already signing up to participate. 318 teams have already signed up, and the closing date is still months away. That is up 23% from a week ago.

The NEO & Microsoft China dApp competition has a nice prize pool worth about half a million USD, which is surely part of the attraction for many developers. Even so, 318 teams working on improving the NEO ecosystem is an insane amount of development for a crypto!

But it does show a nice spread around the world. While it is clear that NEO is popular in China, it seems very popular all over the western world as well. USA takes the 2nd place. I am glad to see African teams on the map as well as South Americans (hard to see, but they're there in Venezuela and one of the Guyana's I believe - hard to tell).

As my frequent readers know, I am quite bullish on NEO and think it is one of the cryptocurrencies that will do well in the future. The NEO community is very vibrant and there is so much going on that it has become impossible to cover it all properly. Just take a look at the current NEO dApps/ICO list where more dApps are added almost every other day. When another 318+ projects join the ecosystem, I cannot fathom that NEO would not go up significantly. I can remember when Ethereum's ICO-age happened, and I think it is possible to see a similar ICO-age with NEO at a certain point.

So while I do trade crypto, when it comes to NEO, I just collect the GAS and HODL.
