OmiseGO has just reached their Fuseki milestone on the roadmap and posted an announcement for the start of the Closed Beta of the OmiseGO Software Development Kit (SDK), and announcing that one of their strategic partners is developing a live use-case on it. Additionally they have released information on how they will handle Cash in/Cash out systems.

The OmiseGO SDK will allow developers to create their own wallet applications for accessing the OmiseGO blockchain. Currently one of their strategic partners, "a huge multinational company" is developing the first wallet:

"We are also proud to announce the OmiseGO SDK is in the hands of one of our strategic partners, a huge multinational company that will help us develop one of our first live use cases."

Unfortunately it doesn't mention anything more specific about which company, and it has been known that OmiseGO has some banking partners in the South-East Asia region, but still in today's markets it is good to read an official news announcement with the words "huge multinational company" in it. If you're holding OMG that is!

Cash in/Cash out

OmiseGO also released some more information on how their Cash in/Cash out system is supposed to work. Not entirely unexpected and speculated for some time, they are planning to create a network of banking, hardware and retail partners where users can deposit and withdraw their money. I believe this means that you will be able to deposit money at any shop or bank (or atm) linked to the OMG network, and receive cryptocurrency in return and vice versa.

You're welcome!

hope to see omisego moon in 2018!

I think 2018 is going to be a big year for OMG! Lots of milestones coming up!

Glad to hear some good news from OMG. It's been a while. Can't wait to hear what company it is.

I think OMG changed their marketing tactics over the summer. They got a lot of criticism that they were overhyping non-news, so they scaled it back and now only intend to release news once it's really there. I guess it's a responsible thing to do, but it does mean a bit less hype pumps maybe :)

Do you know if OMG is doing this all on the ethereum blockchain?

And hi again! Sorry I haven't followed your blog in a long time, been very busy..

Hi!
I believe so yes. OmiseGO is the premiere Ethereum project and will be the first implementation of the Plasma protocol on Ethereum. But until Plasma is fully developed, I believe they will have a period where they have some off-chain scaling solutions of some kind.

Good to see you back! No problem of course, I am still here Steemin' away :D
