Alt coins are taking a big dive today!

Today most alt coins have dropped 1-28% with only 13 coins in the green at the time of writing this!
It is the biggest dump that i have seen so far. people have been speculating that it is because of the rise in BTC over past 24 hours which has had similar effects in the past. This could also be because of the Bitcoin fork as stated in a bitcointalk post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2249900.0

This is most likely just temporary and the coins will return to their normal levels as the price of bitcoin settles and the fork takes place so just hold on tight and don't take the -20% loss!
