Decentralized Exchanges and Atomic Swaps - Introducing Altcoin Exchange
Decentralized exchanges (DEX) are very hot now in the crypto space, and understandably so with all the issues surrounding centralized exchanges. Popular exchanges such as Binance and Kucoin have both hinted at moving to a decentralized model. The native tokens from both these exchanges have seen incredible growth of late.
Today I want to introduce a project I'm following closely that is going to have a fully decentralized model from the beginning, utilizing their atomic swap technology.

Altcoin exchange claimed to have performed the world's first Ethereum <> Bitcoin atomic swap. You can read their report here.
If you are not familiar with atomic swaps, I think you'll hear much more about it in the coming year. It will be the missing ingredient that will help DEX flourish as it will remove the need for a middleman. For this reason, I think Altcoin Exchange will become very popular once it is fully implemented.

Good question. Have no idea about the fees. Best way would be to sign up and wait for future announcements.

Decentralized exchanges will hopefully be the most common type of exchange a few years from now, so I have a feeling altcoin.io will be very popular if it's the first one that manages to function without a middle man. Very exciting times ahead!

I hope so as well! However, even if they don't, another one will do it at one point in the future. Decentralization of exchanges is happening sooner or later :)

Such a nice project to all’s. You try and tell us, I don’t hace any bitcoin, Ethereum, nothing. Just steem because I am beginner in this and I hope learning more, here in my country venezuela is difficul all these movement about crypto currency, but thanks for share this to eveyone. Bless
