Quick Crypto Update: Morning 12-31-17 - RaiBlocks, Stellar, Ripple, Cardano, Verge, Skycoin, Request Network

Hi, everyone. Here's an update on a few tokens, including Stellar, Ripple, RaiBlocks, Cardano, Skycoin, Verge, and Request Network. I want to try to be as unbiased as possible instead of telling you that you should or shouldn't buy or sell.

Ripple

Marketcap Spot: #2
Price: Over $2 USD

Recently, the token unseated Ethereum to take the second spot in marketcap. Ripple's marketcap is around 86.5 Billion dollars at the time of writing. Price over 2.20 usd.

Stellar

Marketcap Spot: #10
Price: Around $0.33 USD

Stellar recently had two good pieces of news and this is thought to be the cause of the price increase in the past several days. The value in marketcap is 5.9 Billion dollars at the time of writing. This is only a few hundred million higher then Monero, which is sitting at #11, but still about 2 Billion less than Dash, which is currently still at the 9th spot.

Cardano

Marketcap Spot #5
Price: Around $0.70 USD

They're expected to release an update on their progress right about now, and the value of the token has been climbing for the last couple days or more. The price of Cardano's Ada token has gone from around 50 cents in U.S. Dollars to over 70 cents. In the past few weeks Cardano rose from a top 20 token to the 5th largest marketcap. Marketcap is around 18.8 Billion dollars USD.

Verge

Marketcap Spot #18
Price: Around 0.18 USD

There's been some controversy surround Verge recently, and it was supposedly mentioned on Twitter more than Bitcoin at some point. Right now there seems to be a lot of talk regarding when the Wraith protocol will be released. It's marketcap was around 2.6 Billion USD at the time of writing.

RaiBlocks

Marketcap Spot: #21
Price: Around $16 USD

This token seems to be focused on speed and scalability; two things that have been discussed quite a bit lately when it comes to other alts and their need to address those issues. RaiBlocks has recently risen by quite a bit in marketcap and value. At the time of writing, it's marketcap value was 2.1 Billion USD.

Skycoin

Marketcap Spot: #73
Price: Around $44.50

Skycoin has received quite a bit of attention lately, and this might be due to what's been happening in relation to Net Neutrality. It is currently at a marketcap valuation of around 300 Million USD.

Request Network

Marketcap Spot: #63
Price: Around $0.52 USD

Request Network has enjoyed a surge in popularity within the past several weeks. It had gone from a value of around $0.18 USD a while back to around 0.50 at the time of writing. It had been in the 30 cents or so range for a little while and began to rise to the current price within the past couple days or so if I remember correctly.
