A world in which millennials are reinventing how our economy works, phone in hand.

And, of course, we expect it to be cheap and safe,

This is a large problem with what's wrong with millennials, they don't see the detrimental effects of how they are "reinventing" everything, they ignore the science behind cell phone/tower radiation and won't realize it until they realize they wasted all that time eating healthy organic food but died as a result of the cell phone they had they face plastered to for decades or death by starvation if it's found to be true that cell towers may be a reason for the decline of bees and other insects, to them as long as it's fast and cheap to hell with what effects it's has on their and others livelihoods...their "living for the moment" is eventually going to catch up to them when they all start dying a early death.

Does it not come as a surprise to anyone that the IMF is sounding the alarm that if they don't get a heads up on crypto they could find themselves undermined.

Interesting article.
I wonder if the countries which have already created a country cryptocurrency will receive some sort of incentive from the IMF ?

Cryptos developed by countries tend to be: centrally controlled, have inflation, are not permissionless, are not immutable, will be 100% tracable, will not be minable etc They are fake cryptos for people who don't understand what a real crypto is.

I haven't read teh article but I don't think traditional crypto users will go for a government crypto. Just look at all the backlash XRP gets for not being a traditional crypto.
