For those of you who are looking to begin investing in cryptocurrencies, but don't want to pay any fees, there is an easy way to do so using Coinbase and GDAX. This is very important if you are investing small amounts and don't want to lose all of your profit to fees which can easily be 4% per trade. Both of these services are operated by the same company and are closely integrated so you only need to make one account to use both.

Step 1.

• Create a coinbase account and verify your identity

Step 2.

• Go to Settings --> Linked Accounts and click "Link New Account"
• Link your bank account

Step 3.

• Go to Accounts --> USD Wallet
• Click Deposit
• Wait for funds to appear in your account in approximately one week

Step 4.

• Go to GDAX and sign in with your Coinbase credentials
• Complete any additional verification steps

Step 5.

• Click on the hamburger menu in the top right corner
• Click on accounts in the drop down menu that appears

Step 6.

• Click the down arrow next to your "USD Account"
• In the pop up that appears go over to "Coinbase Account"
• Desposit funds from your Coinbase USD Wallet
• This will be transferred immediately

Step 7.

• Select the trading view for the currency you want to purchase
• On the far left click "Limit"
• Enter the quantity you want to buy in the respective currency and the "Limit Price" at which you will buy it at
• The "Limit Price" you set must be lower than the current price by at about $1 when buying and about $1 higher than market price when selling.
