6 Out of 7 Trending IOS Apps are Crypto Related!
A week of multiple all time highs for Litecoin and Ethereum has led to a huge surge in interest in the crypto market. While its clear many exchanges are struggling to handle the recent rise in demand for their services, it seems this trend is going to continue. Today, 6/7 of the trending apps on the IOS app store were related to cryptocurrencies.
Even more impressive is that Coinbase has surpassed Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram and has become the most popular free app on the app store. While this level of growth is unsustainable, I believe with the holiday season approaching and higher and higher prices occurring everyday that this momentum will continue for at least a few weeks.
Interestingly, the second most popular search term right now is for GDAX, who doesn't even have a mobile app.
This is crazy! It's insane to remember how few people knew about these concepts just one year ago. I think cryptocurrencies are taking major steps towards being accepted fiat currencies.
